But if you have the same object in multiple schema's, you might have to write a query that is combining all these tables/views with a UNION (ALL) and an extra column to reference the schema and add a condition with a bind variable for the schema name.

You can add a search box with autocomplete to your IR page/region and reference the value in your IR query, but you can't put it into the IR toolbar declarative (I believe).

regards,
ChristianChristian Rokitta ♠https://www.blogger.com/profile/07809391154664980631noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5742906279879067605.post-66375848751700149672014-06-19T15:16:55.709+02:002014-06-19T15:16:55.709+02:00Dear Christian ,

I believe the reason for this is to get feedback from the APEX community, and I hope we could provide you with just that; even though, most of the feedback is just being enthusiast about your ideas. We, and I may speak on behalf of the APEX community, very much appreciate your teams work and involving us in the process by giving us the insight.

Regards,
ChristianChristian Rokitta ♠https://www.blogger.com/profile/07809391154664980631noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5742906279879067605.post-68447663862990370822013-04-11T22:37:10.265+02:002013-04-11T22:37:10.265+02:00Christian,

Once you have installed APEX into the root (Container database or CDB) then you can't remove it from the root database using scripts.

I really appreciate you including the Safe Harbor information. It is very important that people understand that the information we provided is not a guarantee and it is very likely that at least some of the features discussed will change between now and us releasing APEX 5.0. For example, with the new multi-row edit feature we are reviewing the jqGrid control as a possible solution but have made no firm commitment and we are also investigating other alternatives.

Regards,
DavidAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06420119505200371727noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5742906279879067605.post-46414006830390692932013-04-11T09:00:34.745+02:002013-04-11T09:00:34.745+02:00i can see a move towards jdeveloper, layout-wise. ...i can see a move towards jdeveloper, layout-wise. is that intentional?
good mix of presentation on last tuesday apex event in zeist (the netherlands). i was truly inspired.Tokkehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14393735315227800170noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5742906279879067605.post-49814366181280287072013-04-10T23:12:56.416+02:002013-04-10T23:12:56.416+02:00Thanks for sharing this! I think that the fact that layout and placement are so hard is part of what holds APEX back from being more widely adopted.
